Anaerobic
Curing Adhesives DELO-ML
 DELO-ML
anaerobic curing adhesives are one part, cold cure for metal bonding,
thread locking, sealing flanges, shaft and hub joints. The anaerobic
adhesives provide high compression and shear strengths, excellent
thermal stability (-60 to 200 degrees C), and are resistant to vibrations
and permanent dynamic stress.
Cure
occurs with the presence of metal ions and in the absence of oxygen.
Best joins are with active surfaces (base metals Cu, Br, Al etc),
passive surfaces result in poorer strength or no curing (noble metals,
oxide layers, plastics etc). Activators may be used to aid curing:
Delo-Top / Delo-Quick. Curing times may vary from seconds to minutes
and are dependant upon the surfaces being bonded. Final strength
is achieved after 24 hours. Heat will increase the curing speed
and thus reduce the time.
The
anaerobic adhesives are available in groups, from low to high strength,
each group with low, medium, high and pasty viscosities and in a
unique identifying colour: yellow, blue, green, clear & red.
A range of visible light cure materials are also available for dry
edge applications, or where a quick initial strength is required.
