Silicone Sealants & Adhesives - DELO-GUM
DELO-GUM are one part, cold cured silicone adhesives and sealants with a silicone rubber base. The product range includes versions with or without solvents.
Silicones are used as permanently flexible adhesives and as fixing, sealing and potting materials. Special advantages include their high resistance to temperature, weathering and ageing, high elongation at tear and easy handling (one part).
They are supplied ready to use. Curing occurs with the presence of moisture (RH 30-80%), with reaction occurring very quickly, skin formation within 5 to 20 minutes. Curing occurs from exposed surfaces inwards, so products should be exposed to air until fully cured. Full curing will depend on the layer thickness, and can be calculated at 2 or 4mm per 24 hours (product dependant). Changes in RH throughout the year will affect the curing properties, and should therefore be controlled for consistent results.
