Cyanoacrylate Instant Adhesives: DELO-CA

DELO-CA instant curing Cyanoacrylate adhesives are one-part, solvent-free cyanoacrylates, used in general-purpose bonding applications. They are more generally known as instant adhesives or super glues.

Cyanoacrylates cure with the presence of moisture in the air (RH 30-70%) – the greater the moisture content, the quicker the cure. They are ideal for use with nearly all materials, especially plastics and elastomers. They provide high tensile & shear strengths, with initial strength in seconds.

Curing of cyanoacrylate adhesives occurs from exposed surfaces inwards, so products should be exposed to air until fully cured. Bond strength will reduce with temperature, and the working temperature range is -30 to +100ºC. Alkaline surfaces result in a stronger join, activators are available, which are OH^–; use of these activators will change the surface conditions and increase final strength or make joining possible.
